Fees

The all inclusive entry fee is $2,000 per team.  If an owner would like to buy more than one team, his/her teams will be placed in separate divisions. Draft

All divisions will hold their draft simultaneously in Philadelphia, PA on Saturday, September 1, 2007. Maximum of 2 representatives per team will be admitted into draft unless an additional seat is requested before the draft and the $50 seat charge is paid. A valid id will be required to obtain pass to enter draft.  Each division will be composed of 12 teams, and each draft will last for 18 rounds, with each team selecting a player in each round in a serpentine fashion.  Owner can draft as many players as he/she sees fit regardless of position, however, they must meet the minimum required starting lineup each week.  Drafted team cannot be “void” of a position.  The skill of each owner will dictate who and how many players are drafted.

Draft order will be determined when league is full by a random drawing.

There will be a time limit of 1:45 minutes per pick for each team. Advance notification of time expiring will be given at 1:15 and 1:35.  If owner does not make a pick in the allotted time he/she will be passed over and the next team will make a pick.  After the next team makes his/her pick the team that was passed over will be revisited and have 10 seconds to make a pick or will be passed over again.

There will be absolutely no trading of draft picks or players during or after the draft.

There will be no computer access at the draft.  All electronic equipment is not encouraged.  PDA’s, cell phones and computers will be permitted as long as they do not in any way disrupt the draft.

All teams will sit in the order of their draft pick. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Each team, as mentioned before, will be able to have a substitute draftee who is not the owner as long as they are registered by August 28, 2007 and meet the eligibility standards.

Each team MUST confirm their lineup and submit their week 1 lineup BEFORE leaving the draft.

Teams who do not provide lineups will be given one by Payday Sports.  Any lineup that is submitted will remain that way until owner changes it.  Lineups from the previous week will be used if no changes are made.

Lineups/Roster

 Rosters will contain 18 players.

Starting lineups will be:

1 QB : Quarterback
2 RB : Running Backs
3 WR : Wide Receivers

Teams will be able to access their teams via the internet to make lineup changes, drop/add, etc.

If a team has no access to a computer they can phone in their lineup during certain hours which will be posted later.  Phone-in weekly lineups are due no later than 15 minutes before the start of each week.  On holidays and Thanksgiving the phones will be closed.

Saturdays and Thursdays will begin the weeks not end them.

Weekly Winners

Prize money will be awarded to the highest point getting team in the league every week during the regular season of play (the first 11 weeks).   In the event of a tie, the prize money will be split evenly among all winners.

Free Agency

Free Agency will be governed by a “blind bidding” process.  Each team will begin the season with a $1,500 free agency budget.  All bids will be anonymous to other teams.  The amount of the winning bid will be deducted from the winning team’s free agent dollars.  A player must be dropped to make room for a free agent acquisition.  When a teams free agency budget hits zero that team can no longer bid.  All bids must be in $1 increments.  A team cannot void themselves of a position.  Teams must maintain the minimum number of players to complete a starting lineup.

After the draft the free agency pool will be open and available for drop/add.  There is PRE-SEASON free agency.  September 4, 2007 at 9am EST, the first free agency period will open.   Any player that is not on a team within the division is a free agent.

THERE WILL BE TWO DROP/ADD PERIODS EACH WEEK.

Free agency will begin every Tuesday morning at 9am EST and end at midnight before the first game of the week.  For example, a Thursday night game means that the first free agency period will end at midnight on Wednesday.

A second free agency period will take place beginning at 5am the day after the first free agency period closes.  For example, most often you will see free agency stretch from Tuesday morning to Saturday at midnight.  Then the second free agency periods will open from 5am Sunday until 11:30 Sunday morning.  For Thursday games the first free agency period will end Wednesday at midnight and the second free agency period will be from 5am until 11:30 Thursday morning.

Free agency will extend the length of the ENTIRE season, all the way through the championship game.

Regular Season Format

The regular season will last 11 weeks with the division wildcard playoff games held week 12.  The team with the best record in each division will receive a bye into the playoffs beginning week 13.  The wildcard games will be played by the 2nd and 3rd team in each division (determined by record).  Regular season games can end in a tie.  The tie breakers are as follows:

Regular Season to Determine Best Division record tie breaker

1)     Head to Head record (provided that all teams involved played each other and equal number of times.  To calculate best winning percentage take number of games won divided by total number of games won/lost.  Best winning percentage wins determines best head to head record)

2)    Total points for the regular season

3)    Total points by starting quarterback week 11

4)    Total points by starting defense week 11

5)    Total points scored by kicker week 11

6)    Total points scored week 10, 9, 8 etc until tie is   broken

Division Wildcard Game tie breaker

1)    Head-to-Head record (see previous explanation about how it is calculated)

2)    Total points for the regular season

3)    Total points by starting quarterback week 12

4)    Total points by starting defense week 12

5)    Total points by starting kicker week 12

6)    Total points scored week 11, 10, 9, etc. until tie is broken

Playoff Berths

All division champions and wildcard winners will advance to the playoffs.  The wildcard winners will be the teams that won their division wildcard game week 12 AND the teams scoring the most points for regular season who were not division or division wildcard game winners.

In the event of a wildcard berth tie (both teams have equal regular season total points through week 11), they will both advance to the playoffs.

Playoff Format

The playoffs for the National Fantasy Football Tournament will run from week 13 through week 16.  All playoff teams will start at 0 points.  The one team with the most total points overall after week 16 will win the grand prize.  There will be no head-to-head play.

The Playoff Tie Breakers For Prize Winners

1)    Total points for the regular season only
(points through week 11)

2)    Most points scored by starting quarterback week 16

3)    Total points scored week 15

4)    Total points scored week 14

5)    Total points scored week 13

6)    Total points scored week 11, 10, 9 etc. until tie is broken

The term “total points” always refers to points for starting lineup players only.

Consolation Bracket

The 45 teams that did not make the playoffs will compete from week 13 through week 16 in a total point race.  All teams will start at 0 and the one team with the most total points after week 16 will win a free entry into the 2008 $2,000 High-Stakes Tournament.
