Free
Agency
Free
agency will be governed by a “blind bidding” process. Each
team will begin the season with a $1,500 free agency
budget. All bids will be anonymous to other teams. The
amount of the winning bid will be deducted from the winning
team’s free agent dollars. A player must be dropped to make
room for a free agent acquisition. When a teams free agency
budget hits zero that team can no longer bid. All bids must
be in $1 increments. A team cannot void themselves of a
position. Teams must maintain the minimum number of players
to complete a starting lineup.
After the
draft the free agency pool will be open and available for
drop/add. There is PRE-SEASON free agency. September 4, 2007
at 9am EST, the first free agency period will open. Any player
that is not on a team within the division is a free agent.
THERE WILL
BE TWO DROP/ADD PERIODS EACH WEEK.
Free
agency will begin every Tuesday morning at 9am EST and end at
11:59 PM EST Tuesday night. A second free agency period will
then open at 9am Wednesday until 11:59 PM EST before the first
game of the week. In the event of a Thursday game, free agency
will be open from Tuesday morning until Tuesday night, then from
Wednesday morning until Wednesday night at 11:59 PM EST.
Free
agency will extend the length of the ENTIRE season, all the way
through the championship game.
